TRES NIVELES DE POLARIDAD EN CASI Y APENAS
Resumen
Este trabajo explora la transversalidad polar de los adverbios aproximativos casi y apenas. Se propone un acercamiento modular a los diferentes conceptos y definiciones relacionadas con en la noción de polaridad, desde los problemas terminológicos de la bibliografía semántica con base en las explicaciones gramaticales hasta la necesidad de delimitar las implicaciones pragmáticas de aquellas propias del significado o la sintaxis. Se procede con una estructuración de estos tres niveles lingüísticos en las formas casi y apenas, en los cuales la polaridad se manifiesta por separado, si bien también se pueden relacionar atendiendo a la concomitancia de sus principales componentes de significado.

Abstract
This paper explores the ubiquity of polarity in the Spanish adverbs casi and apenas (English ‘almost’ and ‘barely’). This paper presents a modular approach that deals with several concepts and definitions involved in the notion of polarity, shedding light on some terminological problems about the syntax-semantic interface and taking into consideration the pragmatic implications of the adverbs casi and apenas. Organizing the different linguistic levels over which these adverbs have scope, it is possible to outline the ways in which the polarity of casi and apenas arises, so that a concomitancy between grammar, meaning and discourse is embedded.
