La interrelación entre evidencialidad y ergatividad (escindida): una comparación tipológica entre el español, las lenguas romances y otras familias lingüísticas

El español exhibe un sistema morfológico de evidencialidad a través de su futuro morfológico y condicional. Los trabajos más recientes apuntan al oeste de la península ibérica como epicentro de esta particularidad y un aumento exponencial en los últimos cien años de los usos evidenciales frente a los temporales o modales. En este artículo, queremos demostrar la correlación estrecha entre el nacimiento de la evidencialidad y los patrones ergativos que, no solo explican el origen geográfico del español, sino la evolución en otras variedades romances y en otras familias lingüísticas.
