How to be an adverb being a noun and not a preposition

The goal of this article is to explore why Spanish and other languages allow temporal complements which are NPs without prepositions. We will argue that the reason is that temporal-aspectual structure is defined in the spine of the tree, which makes it unnecessary to use a relational element to build this meaning: the NP is an argument of those temporal proyections. The distribution of NPs allowed in this context follows from the general conditions on the licensing of arguments.
